Mary and her husband Edward HARRISON, a butcher, were given 5 shillings apiece in her father's will, but she did better from her grandmother Ann MASON who gave her her estate situated in Sutton Cheney and made sure that her husband could not take control of assets. Perhaps the grandmother was evening up the inheritance.
Edward died sometime before 1840 and Mary married Winter DARKER on 10 Jul 1740 at St Mary's, Leicester with whom she had at least two children.
