Sampson PARKES and his wife Elizabeth baptized their son Sampson PARKES in 1627. Sampson and Margaret died within 2 months of each other in 1649.

Confusingly it appears that there were at least three Sampson PARKES in this generation in Waterfall, as there were another two overlapping marriages:

In the name of God Amen the 27 of November Acording to the convocation of the Church of England I Sampson Parks of Waterfall in the County of Staford husbandman being of perfect memory and Rememb[rance] bevoins aforesaid before do make and ordane this my last will and testament in manner and form following

First I bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty God my maker hoping that through the mysterious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to relieve for pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discresions of my Executors hereinafter nominated
