Harold Warner KADEY was a Lance Corporal in the armed forces (Pte, SN 36115828). He signed up on 15 May 1941 in Detroit, Michigan where he was working in automobile factory.
He was wounded in February 1944 while serving in the British Columbia Regiment as a Lance Corporal. The British Columbia Regiment, 'the Dukes' was an armoured regiment during WW2 equipped with M4 Sherman tanks. It is not clear how he was wounded in February as his Division were training in England and did not see action until after D-Day when they landed in France and fought their way to Germany.
His father, Reuben Warner KADEY, lived in Vancouver, British Columbia.
