Elizabeth WEAVER was born in Bromsgrove in about 1844. Her father was the publican of The Sampson Inn on Worcester Street.
In 1851 she is staying with her grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth GRIFFIN, who had a smallholding in Stoke Prior.
In about 1869 she married Joseph HOPE, an electro plate maker from Birmingham. In 1871 she had two children Mary A E and George and was living in Aston. Although no marriage record has been found, her marriage is confirmed in her father's will of December 1871 in which he refers to his daughter Elizabeth HOPE married to Joseph HOPE.
NB Also in the 1871 census there a Elizabeth WEAVER aged 19 is a servant working at the Sampson Inn. This is a different Elizabeth as she was too young and not related.
Another four children arrived before 1881 when she was living in Birmingham's Jewelry Quarter at 17 Hylton Street.
