The following is unconfirmed and tentative.
In 1841 William was a publican and living with Sarah, and his mother Elizabeth, probably at one of the two public houses backed by the canal south of Bumble Hole. His customers would be coal miners and brickmakers engaged in the heavy industry that the canals had been built to serve.
A William REYNOLDS married Sarah FEARN in Sedgley, near Dudley and Bilston in 1828, but there were many William and Sarah's baptizing children throughout the 1830s nearby, where William and Sarah had no children.
