This might be the Henry FORREST who farmed 13 acres of land at Yew Tree in Mellor Brow, just outside Mellor between 1851 and 1881.
Henry remained single, but he lived with family members. The censuses record the following:
- 1851 living with brother Moulden, 39, cotton, and Ellen COUNSELL, servant, widow, 65, of Samlesbury
- 1861 living with brother James, 51, cotton, and Alice BARNS, 66, relationship left blank, widow, housekeeper of Haughton
- 1871 living with brother James, 61
- 1881 living with brother Moulden, 70, farmer of 21 acres, Moulden's wife Mary (nee SHARPLES) of Balderstone and a nephew John SHARPLES of Balderstone
If it is the right Henry then we have James' baptism missing: James ~1809/10
