In the name of god amen the ninth day of January ano dom 1726 I John Brownsord of Syston In ye County of Leicester wheelrite being sick & weak of body but of perfect memory do make this my last will & testament in manner and form following that is to say Imprimis I bequeath to my wellbeloved Daughter Dorothy Bennit five shillings: Item I give and bequeath to her son John Bennit the full sum of five shillings Item I give and bequeath to my weelbeloved Daughter Elizabeth Royle the sum of five shillings: Item I give to her Daughter Jane Royle the sum of five shillings: Item I will that my wife shall have five pounds a year paid to her and a load of coals during her natural life and her abode In my Dwellinghouse Item I give and bequeath to my wellbeloved John Brownsord my house lands & all ye residue of my personal estate whom I also nominate and apoint sole executor of this my last will and testament he paying my debts and legacies and discharging my funerall expenses. Lastly I revoke all former wills and testaments and confirm this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
