Ivy May's ages on the 1901 census (11 months) and 1911 census (11 years) conflict with each other: she must have been born before 31 Mar 1900 (according to the 1901) and after 1 Apr 1900 (according to the 1911). Her birth was registered in Q2 1900.
Ivy May had two children out of wedlock: Margaret in 1920 and Edmund in 1922. It is known that Edmund was later adopted by the CHEEK family. It is currently not known what happened to Margaret.
The nearest marriage is for an Ivy M STOKES who married an Eddie J WOOD in Cheltenham in 1926. This couple were in domestic service in Tetbury in 1939 (as a gardener and maid) and had no children listed (although one not adjacently listed child in the household is still a closed record under the 100 year rule). This Ivy M's birth date in this census was given as 12 May 1900, which would mean that she was 10 months old in 1901 and 10 years old in 1911, i.e. it fits with neither of the above mentioned census ages. But this marriage becomes more plausible as there were only two other Ivy STOKES in England in 1901 and both were less than 1 month old and living in London and Derbyshire. So, despite the birth date confusion, this appears to be the correct marriage.
Incidentally, her sister's husband, Thomas Henry WOOD, didn't have a brother called Eddie J, but he might have been a cousin.
