The Eighteenth Day of February 1783

On which Day appeared Personally Thomas Sivell of the Parish of Berrow in the County of Worcester, Yeoman and, being sworn on the Holy Evangelists, Alledged and made Oath, That he is of Age of Thirty Nine Years and upwards, and a Widower that he intends to Marry with Elizabeth Russell of the Parish aged Thirty Six Years and upwards; and that he knoweth of no lawful Let or Impediment, by reason of any Pre-contract, Cosanguinity, Affinity, or any other Cause whatsoever, to hinder the said intended Marriage; and that he prayed a License to solemnize the said Marriage in the Parish chiurch of Bromsberrow aforesaid; in which said Parish of Bromsberrow the said Thomas Sivell further made Oath that the s[ai]d Elizabeth Russell has had her usual Abode for the Space of Four Weeks last past.

In the name of God amen. I Thos Sivell of the Parish of Tredington in the County of Gloucester Farmer being sick of body but of sound mind memory and understanding Do make my last Will and Testament in the manner following that is to say then and after my Decease I order all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses to be fully paid and satisfied by Executors herein after mentioned, then I order and Direct give and Bequeath unto my six Children that is William, Robert, Samuel, Ann, Charles and Sarah Sivel all my House and Lands called the Hill House situate in the Parish of Redmarley D'Abitot in the County of Worcester together with all my stock crops threshed or unthreshed with all and every of my Household furniture that is mine or known to be mine be the same of what kind or nature so ever, then I order and Direct my two Executors within[g] one month after my Decease to choose two just and creditable persons to value and take a just and fair Valuation of all in my House Lands Stock Crops as aforementioned taking the cost all Debts and mortgage Debts and the over[plus?] or remainder of all the said valuation do equally Divided between my aforesaid six children share and share alike. Then I order and Direct my said Executors to or cause to be paid unto my son Samuel Sivell his share within 12 months after my Decease and give approved Security for the payment of the other three legacies or shares that is to say to Ann, Charles and Sarah Sivell and lastly I nominate Constitute and Appoint my two sons that is William and Robert Sivell Joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking any former Will or Wills any time heretoforemade. In witness hereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this twelth day of October One Thousand eight Hundred and nineteen.
