Other information:

A Thomas WEBSTER was a druggist on Stricklandgate, Kendal in 1829, druggist in 1833, an auctioneer in 1841 and a wine merchant, aged 47, still on Stricklandgate, in 1851. This Thomas was born in Cumberland. He married Elizabeth BURROW in 1823 and had 7 children, including Jane who was living with her grandfather William WEBSTER in Stainton in 1841. This Thomas was too young to be the son of William WEBSTER and Ruth RENNISON. It also demonstrates that the William WEBSTER living in Stainton, who died in 1854, was not the husband of Ruth RENNISON.
