Subject: re thexton connection
Hi Barry, Gary Thexton sent me an email about your enquiry, i have left a note on thexton site but not sure if you have access? I am one of many, i guess- descendants of Edward and Jane Thexton (nee Machell although my records show it as Michael) my great granddfather Benjamin Wregg married their daughter Margaret 28th march 1872St Annes Church, Aigberth West Derby. My dad Benjamin Griffin Wregg is still alive aged 85 and lives near by on the Gold Coast near Brisbane Australia. His old scratched notes had mentioned that Jane was twice married and had asister Ann so it
is good to fill in the gap with your confirmation of this.Benjamin and margaret are listed by the way on 1881 census at Bentinck st Birkenhead where my G Grandfather had his workshop. I have Edward marrying Jane Machell dec 1/4
in GRO index vol 25 page 479 Edward died apparently in Kendall 26th feb 1849 aged 37. hope this helps .
It would be good to hear from you
regards
Steve Wregg
