Jane GRIFFIN was the second wife of Joseph WEAVER, innkeeper of The Sampson Inn, although she was not legally married to him. She had seven children by him between 1858 and 1868.
Joseph died in 1871.
Reported in the Worcester Journal on 21 December 1872: The license of the Sampson Inn, Worcester-street was transferred from Mrs. Jane Weaver to Mr. Joseph Weaver [her stepson and nephew], and that of the Turk's Head Inn from Mr. Joseph Weaver [her recently late husband] to Mr. George Weaver [an identified relative].
In 1881 she is living with her family at Poplar House, Worcester St, Bromsgrove, and in 1891 with her daughter Fanny's family in King's Norton.
I haven't been able to find her in the 1901 census and it's quite possible that she died between 1891 and 1901.
