Aside from her christening, no records have been found relating to a Patty JOY.
Patty was possibly the "Martha" that was living with her mother Elizabeth JOY in Stanley Lane Ends in Stanley cum Wrenthorpe in 1841. It is possible that she was born prematurely, had brain or nervous system problems or learning/behavioural problems, all known side effects of lead poisoning. It's only speculation, but perhaps this prompted a move from Pateley Bridge to Rothwell.
No 1851 census entry for a Martha JOY has been found and no good death or marriage records identified.
