Narrative and Notes

John Augustus ARCHIBALD was born in Askrigg, Wensleydale, Yorkshire in 1843.

During the late 1840's his family moved to Blackburn to live near his Uncle Henry.

Like his father and eldest brother, John was a plasterer. He married Alice and had at least four children.

Samuel Warwick was possibly named for John's great grandfather Warwick SAGAR.
