May may have married Albert BICKERSTAFF in 1924 or Thomas HAWORTH in 1925.

May BICKERSTAFF (born 18 May 1898) appears in the 1939 Register with Albert in Blackburn. Two children, Olive 1930 and Maureen 1936, were officially registered.

No compelling May HAWORTH can be found in the 1939 Register to confirm her birth date. No HAWORTH children were registered in Blackburn, however one child, Barbara M, was registered in Manchester in 1935.

While either are theoretically possible, May BICKERSTAFF's biorth date, the use of the name Olive and the fact that the BICKERSTAFF family stayed in Blackburn suggests that BICKERSTAFF was the correct marriage.
