Robert, a coal miner, married Elizabeth FOX.

In 1841 he was living on Langley End, Lofthouse, with wife Elizabeth and their children Robert, James and Mary.

Another son, John, who had married Rachel where living on nearby Westgate with two children: Ann, 3 and Elizabeth 3 months.
