Ada was born in Birmingham in 1879.

In the 1901 census, an 22 year old Ada EDWARDSs was working for an Edward SHAKESPEARE, Licensed Victualler at 7 High Street, King's Norton which is now The Station Hotel. Ada's niece Lilly May EDWARDS married a publican called Christopher Charles SHAKESPEARE in 1923 who might have been a relation of Edward SHAKESPEARE.

She married Charles Frederick BURROWS of Tewkesbury in 1906 witnessed by her brother Albert and sister Emily. Her residence at the time of her marriage was given as Maypole Farm where her sister, Emelia Mary, lived with her husband Arthur GREVES.

They had two children and lived in Cheltenham, where Charles was a joiner.

Ada died in 1963, aged 84.
