Sarah HANKENSON married John MILLS on the day that they baptized their daughter Mary. They had six further children including Thomas who died in infancy.
They lived in Chilvers Coton near Nuneaton, but married and baptized all their children in Astley 4 miles away.
Sarah was born in 1702 in Stockingford, Warwickshire, which lies between Astley and Chilvers Coton, which may explain why the couple used the church in Astley, although she herself was baptized in Nuneaton. A John HANKENSON was the churchwarden in Astley (he was buried in Dec 1723 in Astley) so there may have been extended family in Astley.
A widowed Sarah MILLS who was buried in 1777 in Fillongley is the best candidate burial record found. Perhaps she was living with one of her children.
