Narrative and Notes

There are two possible baptismal records for Ann ALLEIN/ALLEN, both in Kimcote:

Apr 1717 Ann ALLEIN daughter of John and Jane: John is George and Ann's first child, but no child named Jane
Jan 1718/19 Anna ALLEIN daughter of Thomas and Anna: Thomas' wife Ann died in 1727 and Thomas left a will in 1728 confirming him as a yeoman of Walton and naming his deceased wife as Anne. He named Ann as beneficiary of £10 and much of his household items, sons John and William got the cattle and husbandry implements, Richard was already apprenticed and received £3 while Joseph got £5. Ann and Joseph were to be cared for "until they shall be able to go to service"

On balance of probabilities Thomas and Anna were Ann's parents. George and Ann's youngest child was perhaps named for Thomas.
