In the name of God Amen. September ye 16 1726. I Joseph Skillington of Thrussington in ye County of Leicester being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth first I commit my soul into ye hands of Almighty God that grew it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner according to ye discretion of my executrix here after named and as touching my worldly goods which God has blessed me with I give and dispose of as followeth
Imprimis I give unto my dear mother Isabell Skillington all my goods and chattels cept for my debts and funeral charges is paid and discharged and after her decease I give what remains and is not made use of by my mother that is I give unto my sister Ann Skillington and I do appoint make and constitute my mother Isabell Skillington and my sister Ann Skillington to be full and sole executrixes of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me made ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament in witness here of I have here unto set my hand and seal ye day and above written
