The only references to Prudence were the baptismal record of her last child, Sarah, in 1686 and her burial record in 1723 where she was recorded as being Jacob ARLEIDGE's wife.
She likely married Jacob in 1663 or early 1664, but it is possible that she was Jacob's second wife. No marriage record has been found of a Prudence to a Jacob ARLEIDGE.
The only Prudence baptized within 5 miles of Kenilworth between 1636-1643 (the dates assume that she was close in age to her husband Jacob who was baptized in 1640 and not less than 21 when married) were:
- Prudence WARD baptized 13 Mar 1639 by William WARD in Coventry, but was buried Dec 1640
- Prudence BARON baptized on 1 Apr 1639 by Richard BARON in Coventry, but was buried 2 days later.
- Prudence FREEMAN who was baptized in Coventry on 7 Feb 1640/1 by George and Mary FREEMAN.
There are no burials or weddings of a Prudence FREEMAN so there is no evidence to rule Prudence FREEMAN out as a candidate for being Prudence. The only other hint that Prudence FREEMAN is correct is that Prudence's first child was named George, the name of her father.
On this tenuous evidence I have added Prudence FREEMAN and her parents to this genealogy, but this could easily be incorrect.
