Narrative and Notes

Joseph BE(A)VANS was born in Worcestershire and was a farmer. In 1841 he was between 65 and 69 years old and living at Blenheim Court, Eldersfield with his wife Sarah. His daughter Sarah SIVELL nee BEVANS was visiting him with his grandchildren.

He appears in Bartley's Directory of Evesham, Pershore 1840 in Eldersfield as "Bevan J, Farmer".

Joseph died of old age, aged 83. He was described on the death certificate as an agricultural labourer. His daughter Mary Ann was present at the death. A probate entry dated 3 Dec 1857 for a Joseph BEVAN of Eldersfield and Pendock suggests that a will might be held at The Hive, Worcester.
