We know from Richard BROOKE's daughter Anne's baptism and burial records that he was a tailor and lived in Adwalton, Yorkshire.
There were three baptisms of a Richard BROOKE in Birstall, with the Richard baptized on 18 Aug 1611 by John BROOKE of Adwalton being the obvious best fit. This would make him 22 when he married Alice MUSGRAVE in 1633.
The couple had 6 children. Their youngest, Anne, died aged 4 months. Their second pregnancy resulted in twins with one, a son named Richard, surviving. Three further boys followed.
Alice died 5 months after her son Isaacke was baptized.
