Anthony MILLS was a wheelwright living in Nailcot End, Berkswell, Warwickshire.
His two daughters married ARNOLDs: Mary married Thomas in 1760 and Alice married Edward ARNOLD in 1764. It's possible that Thomas and Edward were brothers, but that hasn't been confirmed by any documentation.
At his death, Anthony left his wife Alice his house, barns and land in Nailcot for her use. His son Thomas received all Anthony's wheelwright tools and timber and three pieces of adjacent arable land called "Whome Close", "Little Meadow" and "Midle Field" which he was already in possession of. Thomas would inherit his mother's estate upon her death.
Son Job was to inherit Thomas's share if he died without issue. In the meantime he received two closes, called Chins Close and Pens Close.
His daughter, Mary ARNOLD, received £10 from Job and would receive a further £20 if Job inherited the full estate.
Son Anthony only received 10s 6d.
Anthony died on 4 Jul 1776, the date of the American Declaration of Independence.
