Mary GILL married Mark NEWBALD (aka NEWBOT/NEWBOTT/NEWBOOT/NEWBOLT) in Ripon Cathedral in April 1734.
They had three children, William 1735, Robert 1739 and Mary 1741, before her husband, a miner, died in 1742.
She buried her son Robert in 1751 when she was still living at Moor Houses.
Moor House Cottage, pictured, may have been their home. It is now a bed & breakfast hotel.
No burial for Mary has been found, but a baptism dated 1712 by William GILL is a good fit.
