Mark NEWBOT/NEWBOOT/NEWBOLT lived in Moor Houses which was probably at the current Moorhouse Cottage as shown in the picture. He may even have built it. Also living in Moor Houses was George NEWBOT, who was probably a brother.
He baptized three children: William (1736), Robert (1739) and Mary (1741).
Mark was a miner, and perhaps is was a mining accident that led to his death the following year in July 1742.
His son Robert was buried by his widow in 1751, who is only described as Widow NEWBOOT of Moor Houses.
