Mary HAWKER was born in January 1739 (1740 Gregorian) in Chaceley, then part of the County of Worcester but now in Gloucestershire.
She married Joseph BEVANS, a farmer, in 1760 and together they had 13 children between 1761 and 1786, living in Eldersfield.
Her husband died in 1819.
No fitting burial record has been found in Eldersfield, but it is possible that she was staying with a family member in later life. A Mary BEVANS was buried in Eldersfield in February 1768, but that was six months before her youngest child was baptized. A Mary BEVAN was buried in Bushley (1.5 miles from Eldersfield) on 26 Feb 1788.
