There are a couple baptisms near to Rothwell between 1735 and 1750, but none in Rothwell where she married James HOLYDAY in 1764. These include:
- 1730 - Ann daughter of William PEARSON in Mirfield (13 miles) - she would be 34 when married
- 1737 - Ann daughter of Richard PEARSON of Byerley at Birstall (10 miles to Rothwell) - she would be 27 when married
- 1745 - Ann daughter of John PEARSON, clothier of Westerton (5 miles to Rothwell), in Woodkirk - she would be 19 when married
Of these the 1745 date is preferred due to the Westerton location and this Ann's age. Prior to the arrival of the railways there was a fairly direct route via lanes and footpaths between Westerton and Rothwell.
It is likely that Anne died shortly after the birth of her daughter, Sarah. Sarah was born and baptized on the same day suggesting some kind of life threatening trauma. Sarah went on to live until age 63 and Anne's husband James remarried in 1772.
