Narrative and Notes

Betty WEBB married "George LOCK of Tetbury" in April 1785 in Chipping Sodbury (12 miles from Tetbury). This not only fits with Elizabeth and George beginning to christen their 9 children from February 1786, but her surname, WEBB, was also used in the name of her son Charles Webb LOCK.

It is not clear exactly when Elizabeth was born or who her parents were. Her name was relatively common and there were many Elizabeth WEBBs christened in the area of Tetbury or Chipping Sodbury.

On New Year's Eve 1811 Elizabeth married Robert WESTMUCKETT in Bristol.

As Elizabeth WESTMUCKET, she was living with her granddaughter, Eliza STOKES nee BROWNING, daughter Mary BROWNING nee LOCK, and her sons Thomas and Charles LOCK each with their families, in Cirencester in 1841.

Elizabeth died on 20 Jan 1844 in Tetbury of dropsy and old age.
