Mary DIXON married William BUSHER in November 1698 in Kendal, with their first child, Ann, baptized eight months later.
William died before 1726 when his probate was completed.
The only burial record for a Mary BUSHER, that did not relate to a child, is dated 12 Feb 1760. If this is correct then Mary would have been in her 80s.
The other possibility is that Mary remarried after the death of William. The Mary BUSHER of Stricklandgate who married John RIDDLE on 19 Apr 1727 is a good fit. Unfortunately there are no burials of a Mary RIDDLE or variants neat Kendal, nor any subsequent marriage. It is possible that she left Kendal with her youngest children - RIDDLE is a northumbrian name, By this time her eldest son John was already married so would have stayed in Kendal.
Mary would have been born 1672-1681, that is, 18+ when married and 45 or younger when her eldest child was born. There are no baptisms that match these dates near to Kendal, but many within 20 miles of Kendal.
