Sarah MARR married Joseph SCOTT on 1 May 1786 in Kendal.
In 1787 Sarah was living in Stricklandgate, Kendal with her husband Joseph and children Mary and William. Also in the home are John MARR and Aggnes MARR supporting the identity of Sarah as Sarah MARR.
In 1829 she was living in Woolpack Yard, Kendal with her husband.
Their children include: Mary (1787), William (1788), John (1789), Joseph (1791), Betty (1793), James (1794), Thomas (1796), Edward (1797), Sarah (1799), Agnes (1802), Thomas (1804) and William (1810).
Sarah cannot be found in the 1841 census in Kendal, but she would have been 75 years old so likely she died before then.
There are no burial or civil death registration records before 1841 for a Sarah SCOTT born about 1765, however there was two registered deaths in Kendal in Q2 1843 with just two pages between them (and another in Q2 1847 in Kendal for a Sarah SCOTT who was a spinster and unrelated). My guess is that the two Sarahs were a newborn daughter and her mother.
Other information:
A further two children John (1813) and Ann (1815) were christened by a Joseph and Sarah SCOTT in the Wesleyan Methodist chapel on Stricklandgate, however Ann's record confirms she was born in Stainton Parish of Heversham. It is likely that both these children were from the same (different) family. It is possible that William (1810) was also of this family.
