Mary EDEN married Thomas CURTIS in Ebrington in Feburary 1699 or 1700 (sources vary).
Possible baptismal records for Mary include:
- 18 Jul 1669 Chipping Campden by John EDEN
- 23 August 1680 Chipping Campden by Richard EDEN
The former fits better with narrative that she married an older man with many children from a previous marriage. The latter fits with a narrative that she married a bachelor Thomas CURTIS when just 19 or 20.
Alternatively, Mary EDEN was a widow. For instance, a Mary READ married Edward EDEN on 10 Aug 1696 in Chipping Campden, although no death records can be found for Edward EDEN.
