Thomas MASON was the grandfather of Mary HARRISON nee MILES and Thomas MILES who both received 10 shillings in his will dated 13 Aug 1727. He lived with his wife Ann in Sutton Cheney where he appears in the 1719 Poll Book and Electoral Roll. This states that his eligibility to vote was based on his freehold of land in Dadlington which was 2 miles away, rather than property in Sutton Cheney so perhaps he was living in Sutton Cheney while gaining an income from his Dadlington land, or perhaps he was farming the Dadlington land.
It is thought that he died in 1730 as a probate administration document for Thomas Mason of Dadlington exists, although its image is missing from the archive film. This Thomas is recorded as an 'Agricolam', the Latin for farmer.
