Margaret BANKS likely grew up in Croxall, Derbyshire where she married Thomas HACKET and where her first son, Thomas, was baptized. The family later lived in nearby Orgreave, the other side of Alrewas, Staffordshire.
She bore 8 children between 1752 and 1770 and died aged 79 in Orgreave in 1805.
No baptismal record for a Margaret BANKS born locally in the 1720's has been found, but then there are no baptismal records for Croxall for 1720-1730 so that is understandable. There was a baptism of a Margaret TRICKLEBANK in nearby Alrewas in 1725. An adult Margaret TRITTLEBANK was buried in Alrewas in 1737, but no other burial or marriage has been found so the marriage record may have been in error, or the TRITTLEBANK/TRICKLEBANKs simplified their name.
