Alice DEAKIN married Thomas NEVILL in the summer of 1748 when aged "twenty years or thereabouts", although she may have been as young as 17 having been christened in December 1730. Alice must have expected a reasonable living standard having married the eldest child of a farmer.
Alice had had 5 children and was likely pregnant with twins, when Thomas died suddenly aged 39. She named the elder child Richard for her father.
She remarried a man from Alrewas, John LEA in January 1765. Later that year her father-in-law wrote his will not mentioning her, but naming her 5 surviving children.
