In the name of God Amen I Francis Nevill of Whittington in the county of Stafford Farmer being of sound mind and understanding praised the almighty God for the same do make this my last will and testament in manner following (that is to say) I give and devise all my real state of what nature or kind so ever unto my loving wife Mary and her assigns during the term of her natural life together with the interest and produce of 300 pounds now in the hands of Mr John Martin and also the use of the dwelling place wherein I now live
Item to my said wife marry I give and bequeath all my household goods to be at her own disposal
Item (after the decease of my said wife) I give and devise all my said real estate unto my son Francis Nevill his heirs and assigns forever subject nevertheless to and chargeable with the payment of the sum of 60 pounds within 12 months next after the decease of my said wife and which said sum of 60 pounds I do hereby give unto my daughter Mary Thornewoork to be paid within the time aforesaid
Item all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and estates of what nature or kind so ever I give devise and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my son Hugh Nevill his executor's administrators and assignees nevertheless to and chargeable with the payment of all my just debts funeral expenses and the several [????] sum and sums of money herein after mentioned (that is to say)
Unto my son John Nevill I give the sum of 100 pounds
Item to my two grandsons Thomas and Francis Nevill I give the sum of 20 pounds each
Item unto my five grand children Ann Mary Alice Elizabeth and Richard son and daughters of my late son Thomas Nevill deceased I give the sum of 5 pounds a piece to be paid them respectively within 12 months next after the decease of my said wife
And I nominate an appoint my said wife Mary and son Hugh executrix and executor of this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke all former and other will and wills by me at any time made
In witness whereof I the said Francis Nevill the testator have hereunto set and put my hand and seal the 5th day of July in the year of our Lord 1765
